There are 3 primary ways in which we can choose to consume ClickHouse.
Open Source
It is possible to download the ClickHouse open source project and run it on your own servers in your own cloud account.
When you do this, you are taking responsbility for it's deployment and operations. Though ClickHouse is much simpler than some of it's competitors, this is still something you will need to go into with your eyes open.
ClickHouse Cloud
It is possible to use ClickHouse Cloud which is a fully managed version of ClickHouse provided by ClickHouse Inc. This places ClickHouse on a par with fully managed offerings such as Snowflake and Databricks.
In addition to this having the advantage of being fully managed, it is also optimised to work with Cloud Object Stores which can reduce cost.
Third Party Managed Services
ClickHouse can also be ran as a third party service, such as that provided by Yandex Cloud, Altinity or through us at Ensemble.
